Concept design for a new generation protective vest developed specifically for enduro riders.
The project merges the lightweight, body-hugging ergonomics of a running vest with a solid and protective structure, redefining comfort and functionality in technical riding gear. The design integrates advanced features such as a hydration system (water bag) and micro-adjustable elastic lacing, allowing a precise, dynamic fit during riding.
Despite its protective core, the vest remains light, breathable, and comfortable, designed to move naturally with the rider while maintaining a high level of impact protection.
Unique in its category, this concept proposes a new balance between protection and wearability, with the potential to set a new standard in the enduro protection market.
I have collaborated with Bluegrass to renovate and expand their collection of body protection gear, such as chest and back protectors to full vests.
From market analysis, through the design and development process, to the product industrialization.
All the products I have designed feature nifty innovations and new technologies. From a unique closure system to a specific and dedicated fit, each object is intended to introduce a market innovation that could raise the standard to a new level.
We focus on details and concepts that make a difference, such as a raw-cut edge, and we use specific, dedicated technology for each component and material.
We uphold the timeless value in product design: sometimes less is more, with a neat look and slick technology.
Some projects begin with a clear answer. This one began with a lot of questions. When you're creating something that doesn't exist yet, trial and error becomes part of the process.
Every prototype, every mistake and every iteration brought us closer to the goal: a lightweight, highly versatile vest inspired by the world of trail running.
The main focus was developing an intuitive closure and adjustment system, translating proven concepts into a new application tailored to the specific needs of this product.
Every detail was refined through continuous prototyping and testing to achieve the right balance between functionality, comfort and ease of use. Sometimes, innovation is simply the result of not being afraid to get it wrong first.

The Arto Armour redefines full upper-body protection for modern gravity riding. Covering chest, back, shoulders and elbows with certified protection, it combines a streamlined fit with unrestricted mobility and all-day comfort.
Born from extensive testing with elite downhill athletes and shaped by decades of protection expertise, it is designed to disappear while riding and perform when it matters most.
